SELF PORTRAITS 1981
Self Portraits. Hyson Green, Nottingham. June 1981.
Over two days in June 1981, Nottingham Community Arts Centre on Gregory Boulevard in Hyson Green, gave local people a chance to take self-portrait photographs. The pictures were taken with a 35mm camera, on black and white film, using a remote shutter release, (this can be seen in all of the photos). The background changed from the first day, from the facade of the Centre, to a plain white background on the second day. The films were processed over-night and the next morning prints were available to everyone who took part.
